How to invite relatives
Invite a relative by email or with a link in a messenger: they land right in the family and find themselves in the tree.
Step by step
«Invite a relative»
On the «Who is in the family» page, from the tree or with «Invite to the site» on the person's page. Enter the name, who they are and «Invite as»: «Relative» or «Close one».
A letter or a link
With an email the invitation comes as a letter; without it press «Copy the invitation link» and send it yourself. The note is the first thing they see.
The keeper confirms
An invitation from the keeper goes out at once. From a relative — after the keeper confirms it.
First sign-in
Through the link: «Accept the invitation», «How should we address you?» with a password, then «Is this you?» and «Your line». The email from the invitation needs no confirming.
How long it works
An invitation works for 14 days and once. If it has expired, press «Ask for a new invitation».
Frequent questions
The messenger opened the link by itself. Is it used up?
No. Simply opening a link uses nothing up. It works only when the person presses the button themselves.
I am already in another family. Do I need a second account?
No. The link from the letter adds the new family to your account, and you switch between families in the site's header.
I am on the site, but the tree does not know it is me. What do I do?
Open your page in «People» and press «This is me»: the keeper confirms it, and the page becomes yours. The keeper can also tie you in «Who is in the family» — «Who is it in the tree?». A mistake — «This is not me» in the settings.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in page press «Forgot your password?» — a link comes by email. It works for an hour and once.
