The family keeper
The keeper lets relatives in, checks what was added and decides what guests see. A family can have several keepers.
Step by step
«Keeper's room»
Tabs «Queue», «Cases», «Open links», «Places» and «What guests see». The number in the header shows how much waits for a decision.
Go through the queue
A relative's story: «Seen» or «Hide»; a close one's story: «Approve» or «Hide». A new person in the tree: «All correct», «Fix» or «Remove».
Invitations and requests
A relative's invitation goes out after «Confirm and send». A guest who pressed «I am from this family» waits for a decision: «Let in and place in the tree» or «Decline».
Start a case
«New case»: choose a photo, put numbers under the faces and ask the relatives a question. When the versions agree, press «Approve».
What guests see
The «Public showcase» is off by default. «Photos for guests» are opened by the book's chapters; photos with living people stay closed always.
Frequent questions
Who can be a keeper?
Whoever started the family and those the keepers appoint — from 18. It is better with two keepers: the queue will not get stuck while you are on holiday.
Can the keeper show a story to guests on the author's behalf?
No. The author decides; the keeper can only ask — the «Ask …» button with the author's name. The answer comes by email and appears in the room.
How can I check what close ones see?
Press «View as a close one» in the room: the family feed opens the way a close one sees it.
