A person's page
Everything about a person on one page: who they are to you, the life line, stories, photos and those who were near.
Step by step
Open a person
From the tree, «People» or a name in a story. At the top — the name, the years of life and who they are to you.
The life line
Events by year: birth, moves, weddings, children. People and places in it are links; facts from the book show the page.
«Add an event»
Under the life line: what happened, when, where and how it is known. Not sure of the year — tick «About that year — not known exactly»; the keeper will look at what a relative added.
Dates of life
Dates are corrected together with the source. The keeper presses «Correct» — a case opens where relatives add their version («I know another date»), and the keeper approves one.
«Near in life»
It gathers by itself: «Lived together», «On the same photo», «In the same stories». Only the people and photos you can see are shown.
Frequent questions
Who can edit the page?
The name, the main line and the portrait are edited by the keeper — the «Edit» button. Old values do not disappear: they are in «What changed».
I made a mistake in an event. How do I fix it?
Open the event and press «Edit the event». Whoever added an event can edit it; the keeper can edit any.
Where does the portrait come from?
From a photo where the person is tagged. Tag them in «Who is in the photo» — and the keeper chooses the frame: the face close up, to the shoulders or the photo whole.
