Tell a story
By voice, in writing or with photos: the story stays yours, and you decide who sees it.
Step by step
Press «Tell»
Choose «Record by voice», «Write» or «Add photos». You can also start from the question of the week on the home page.
Just talk
Pauses are fine: the recording is kept, and the site transcribes the text itself in a couple of minutes. After 30 minutes the recording stops — send it and record a continuation.
Decide who sees it
«All relatives», «Relatives and close ones», «Selected» or «Only me». If you are in several families, tick the ones you need in «Where to publish».
«Warmth» and replies
Relatives press «Warmth» or «Reply» and add their own memory in writing or by voice. Replies are seen by the same people who see the story.
«Recall your own»
If a story reminds you of something of your own, press «Recall your own» under it — «Tell» opens.
Frequent questions
Typing is hard for me. Can I just use my voice?
Yes. Press «Record by voice» and talk — the site makes the transcript itself. You or the keeper can fix mistakes in it with «Correct the text».
Will the keeper rewrite my story?
No. A story is not restyled or shortened — the keeper only fixes typos. Other relatives can only «Suggest an edit», and you decide whether to accept it.
Can I delete my story?
Yes, with «Remove the story». For 30 days you can restore it together with the replies; after that it is deleted for good.
